Requirements

·         Any bachelor degree in health and safety management

·         Positive attitude and high attention to detail

·         English proficiency in four skills

·         Organized and results-oriented

·         Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines

·         Assertive, confident and willing to act as an advocate for workers

·         Previous experience in a Leading Hand / Supervisory role

·         Strong safety focus

·         Capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 

·         Ability to interact with diverse cultures

·         Ability to develop & maintain recordkeeping systems & procedures

·         Minimum 10 years’ experience 

·         Worked in a multi-cultural environment

Key Responsibilities

·         Operations

o   Develop and implement safety plans, rules, policies and procedures in accordance with site and company

o   Conduct inspections to ensure that health and safety requirements is being followed at all times

o   Attend safety walks and inspections before or during each project to analyze safety risks

o   Maintain and report on safety and health records and statistics

o   Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation

o   Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace

o   Investigate accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident

o   Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents and related events

o   Act as a liaison between management and external safety agencies if necessary

o   Ensure personal and crew compliance with Company safety standards and site-specific rules

o   Ensure that employees have a safe working environment

o   Maintain a harmonious workplace

·         Management skills

o   Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy policies, processes and procedures to maximise operational performance
