Requirements

·         Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Drilling industry.

·         Experience in a multi-cultural environment.

·         Experience working in remote areas and extreme environments

·         Level IV HSE management.

·         Diploma in Drilling Operations.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

·         Operations and Logistics

o   Manage the daily performance of a drill crew.

o   Maintain clean and safe work site and equipment.

o   Functional knowledge of all types of exploration drilling.

o   Trouble shoot problems and be solution orientated.

o   Plan and complete preventative maintenance to maximise equipment production;

o   Ensure personal and crew compliance with Company WHS regulations and site-specific rules.

o   Provide guidance and training to Drillers assistants and Trainee drillers.

·         Health and Safety

o   Reduce site incident/accident frequency rates.

o   Ensure that our employees have a safe working environment.

o   Maintain a harmonious workplace.

·         Management skills

o   Act and manage as a company owner.

o   Work within budgetary constraints.

o   Identify system, process and equipment innovation and improvement opportunity’s and provide feedback to management.

o   Excellent people management skills, (open door policy).
